The Orange Elks' "Marketplace at the Hub" project recently participated in the Same Day Solutions event hosted by the OC Hub Resource Center.
Same Day Solutions is a collaborative community outreach event designed to connect individuals experiencing homelessness or hardship with vital services and resources in one location, including housing assistance, medical care, identification services, food, hygiene supplies, and other supportive programs.
As part of the event, the Orange Elks provided essential items to community members in need. Over 200 individuals were served, and more than 1,000 items—including hygiene products, socks, underwear, and food—were distributed in a dignity-based, self-choice shopping experience.
"The Marketplace at the Hub" is part of the Elks' ongoing commitment to community service, focusing on meeting critical needs while fostering respect and connection. By providing personalized access to essential items, the program helps individuals maintain dignity and choice during challenging times.
