The Orange Elks had the pleasure of hosting 110 Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard active personnel.
Their day started at City Hall, with a ceremony, then stopped by the Orange Elks Lodge for breakfast composed of bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, tater tots, French toast, fruit salad and refreshments prepared and served by our lodge veterans. Orange High School MCJROTC helped.
After breakfast the group visited the Hilbert Museum, had lunch at American Legion and then went to Disneyland for a fun day.
It was truly an honor to serve these men and women who serve.
Mayor Dan Slater, an Orange Elks member, presented a proclamation from the Orange County Board of Supervisor to Navy Rear Admiral Richard Meyer, Deputy Commander of the U.S. 3rd Fleet.
