Once a month, members of the Orange Elks join our Community Partner, the Santiago Creek Greenway Alliance (SCGA) to help clean up the Santiago Creek.
The SCGA was started in 1991 and is a group of volunteers dedicated to improving public use of the Santiago Creek. The SCGA provides trash bags, pick up claws, gloves, water, pretty much everything you need.
It is amazing what the volunteers pick up. In the trash bags will be
plastic food containers, big gulp cups and clothes. They will cut down invasive non-native plants.
