Every one knows about acronyms. We all know that BPOE stands for the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and ENF is Elks National Foundation. Members of the Orange and Huntington Beach Elks were the BPOE (Best People on Earth) and had an ENF (Extra Nice Feeling) when they went to the Long Beach Veterans Hospital and served lunch to blind and vision impaired veterans.
Frank Sellers, a member of the Orange Lodge and Orange Coast District Veterans Chairman, put on a luncheon for 79 Blind and Visually Impaired Veterans at the Blind Rehab Center in Long Beach.
Seven members from the lodges showed up at Long Beach and served lunch. The lunch included Jersey Mikes sub sandwiches and soft drinks. A special treat of dog biscuits were on hand for the service dogs.
