Our Veterans Committee Chairmen Brian and Stephanie Fitzpatrick and the Veterans Committee selected two individuals for our Local Heroes Scholarship of $1,475. Our Veterans Program has given out over $25,000 dollars to individuals to help acquire books, materials, in one case a computer to help them further their studies and earn degrees in their major. This year?s recipients were Jean Carlo Loeza, an Air Force Veteran and Navy Veteran Khiry Carter. Music is always part of the program and Megan Leavey preformed ?Hallelujah Veterans Version? which can be found on YouTube. This year Don would read a bio of lodge veterans in a game called ?Name That Vet?. Over twenty were recognized. Our Orange Elks Veterans!

Our program Veterans Program always ends with the singing of ?God Bless the USA? by Lee Greenwood.
After the program in celebration of the U S Marine Corp. 247th birthday we witnessed the Marine the cake-cutting ceremony.
