March 14th

For the new members who have never gone, it is a great evening where we bring refreshments, gifts and play bingo with the Veterans from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A sign-up sheet is posted in the 3rd floor club room for those who can bring refreshments and spend an evening with our Veteran’s.  Carpool sign up available too.  We will be leaving at 6:00 p.m. sharp.

Visit to Long Beach Veteran’s Hospital

“So long as there are Veterans,
the Benevolent and
Protective Order of Elks
will never forget them.”

Several times each year, the Orange Elks, family members and friends will car pool to the Long Beach Veteran’s Hospital to play Bingo and spend an evening with the Veterans. Nineteen people from the lodge entertained seventeen veterans. We brought punch, cookies, cheese cake, cup of soups, books, t-shirts and donated $100 in prize money for the bingo games. Each of the bingo players won at least $5.
This time the visit was had two WWII veterans.

Kealoha Arelliano is pictured with WWII and Korea Veteran George Scott, Army Air Force.
