The Orange Elks Lodge support our military, help in our community and hold children’s programs. Usually, disagreements come up as to which is the best. Helping the Down Syndrome Association of OC is always at the top of the list as a favorite.
However, with Covid-19, this summers the DSAofOC picnic had to be cancelled. Our Grand Lodge has Grants available and we applied for the Beacon Grant. The grant was $3500 and we gave it to the Down Syndrome Association of OC to support their programs.
We helped get their facility back open after the COVID lockdown by participating in the DSAofOCs Buddy Walk & Family drive through
The Orange Elks and several other groups helped. A DJ played music to dance to, the Elks cooked hotdogs, the Star Wars Characters and the Pic Me Entertainment Princesses attended, a Stilt Walkers and a juggling unicycle bike rider helped entertain the attendees.
