Throughout the year, the Orange Elks have used the 4 T’s of Time, Treasure, Talent and Teamwork when working on projects for our community. It is said, when you have lemons, you can make lemon aid. Well with the Corona Virus our members are working on ways to help our community.
Time: Many of our members are shopping for their neighbors. delivering food or taking them to appointments. Our volunteers are helping deliver boxes of food to families at the Sky View. Helping the Youth Centers of Orange pass out food, hygiene packs and school supplies.
Treasure Our Trustees are making donations to food banks in our city. Donating food we have purchased for upcoming events to local food banks.
Talent We are setting up plans to work with several of our partners in our city on what needs we can best serve. Publishing a chart of grocery stores and there hours for seniors. Getting out information out about Tax Day. Getting information to our members from JoAnn's Crafts & Fabrics on How to Sew a Medical Face Mask.
Teamwork Helping at several food distribution spots in our city. Getting a list of local business’s we can support by shopping from them.
At the end of the last couple of days, the most common comment was “How helping sure made you feel good!
