The Elks Third Grade Dictionary Program is a huge undertaking designed to place a personal dictionary in the hands of every third grader in the country. The dictionary becomes the students very own, to carry with him or her, as they advance through their school years. The dictionaries are donated by Elks Lodges through the generosity of their members.
The members of the Orange Elks Lodge will handed out dictionaries to all the third grade students in the Orange Unified School District on October 21st. Lodge members will go to 32 schools, over 80 classrooms, Â and handing out 2340 dictionaries. This will be the forth year for the program and the lodge has given away over 7800 dictionaries. This year the dictionaries will include an Elks Drug Awareness book mark.
The dictionaries will be handed out on October 21st. Today lodge members stamped the dictionaries and put the book marks with them.
