The Orange Elks Lodge, An All American Lodge, hosted the Annual Orange Coast Districts Flag Retirement Program. R C “Stoney” Bourke P. A. V. P. and Americanism Chairman, welcomed everyone to the ceremony where we gathered to pay our last respects our “Old Tattered Flags”.

The meeting was opened with a prayer and the lodges Boy Scout Troop #1475 posting the Colors.

After the pledge of allegiance, the Orange H. S. Choir sang the National Anthem. Master of Ceremony, Don Westerfield, explained what happens to our tattered old flags and how the flag retirement ceremony began.

The ten E R’s from the Orange Coast District retired a flag and told the group the meaning of each part of the flag for the ceremony.

The Orange Choir, lead and we sang “God Bless America”. The program ended with a lunch.
