While still distancing and meeting via Zoom, our boy scout troop has still been able to function during the Chinese Virus. Logan Smith become an Eagle Scout. He is the fifteenth Eagle Scout from the lodges Boy Scout Troop 1475 since 2006. The Eagle Scout Award is the highest honor the Boy Scouts of America offers. Logan held all the positions in his troop including Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Scribe and Order of the Arrow and obtained all his required Merit Badges. His Eagle Scout project was for his Villa Park High School Marching Band. He saw a need, created a proposal and with the help of fellow scouts, adults and other volunteers built a garment create on wheels to transport the uniforms to and from games, events, and other band performances. Because of the Chinese Virus, the lodge was not able to hold a proper Court of Honor presentation for Logan at the lodge. Jhon Zelinka is in the picture with Logan and has completed all his Eagle Scout requirements. Left to Right: Jhon Zelinka, Logan Smith (Eagle Scout), Hunter Smith and Noah Smith. Thanks Joseph Medina for the pic.
