Everyone, please meet the Orange Elks Lodge's first girl Cub Scout! Say hi to Emalee, Pack 1475, Den 6! Her name is Emalee Coolbaugh, she just turned 9 year old and is going into the 4th grade at Olive Elementary. She has been in Girl Scout troop 1475 at the Orange Elks Lodge since she was a 5 year old Daisy Scout. She really enjoys the Cub program, so when this new Family Scouting Program was created by BSA ( Boy Scouts of America) this year to include girls in Cub Scouts. She was really excited to jump in and become our first girl Cub. She will be a Webelo this fall, and has already started doing activities with our Pack. She plans to do both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Girls in both the Cub Pack will meet in their own all girl den's or patrols and follow the same program as the boys. They will do some activities together. This is a great opportunity for girls who enjoy some of the program the BSA has to offer. This is an opportunity for the girls to be able to participate and someday earn their Eagle Award. Orange Elks member Teresa Beach is the Pack/Troop founder and Emaleeās Granddaughter.
