Image shows float decorated as a wedding cake with Darlene Harms and Erich Vollmer dressed as bride and groom standing under archway. "PERKIN'S BAKERY" is written across end of float, which is going west on East Chapman Avenue towards the Plaza, passing in front of the Elks Building (211 East Chapman). Banners hang across the street. The Union Service Station is in the rear, at the right. The May Festival, which began in 1933 and also included the May Day Parade, continued to be held until 1991.

TITLE: Orange Elks Lodge #1475 in Orange, California, 1965
PHOTO DATE: c1965
DESCRIPTION: The Orange Elks Lodge #1475 located at 211 East Chapman Avenue in Orange, California, 1965. A furniture store occupied the ground level, and the Elks meeting rooms and lodge hall on the upper levels of the building. The building was constructed in 1925 for the Orange Odd Fellows but they lost their building in foreclosure, and the Elks took over at the end of 1925.
