The Veterans is a person who, at one point in his or her life wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including their life. ?As long as there is a Vet, the Orange Elks will never forget?! This is the eight year the Orange Elks have participated in this patriotic tribute to our men and women who are serving and have served in the military. The Orange Elks are a Silver Star Sponsor and are honoring fifty of our veterans from the lodge at the Orange Field of Valor.

Each flag has a serviceman or servicewoman name, branch of service, their rank, where they served, who sponsored them and a colored ribbon attached to it. There were six different ribbon colors: Yellow: Returned Home Alive, Blue: Medal of Honor Recipient, Purple: Purple Heart Recipient, White: POW who returned home and Black: killed in action, missing in action or prisoner of war Orange Elks member Mike Jung is one of the veterans honored. Mike was in Army and is a Vietnam veteran. His flag that has both a yellow ribbon and a purple ribbon attached.
