The Field of Valor, the Orange Hero’s Award, Wreaths Across America and our Veterans Program were programs we participated in.

At the Field of Valor, a flag is flown that honors those who are serving or have served our country. On Friday, our lodge members helped the flag retirement program at the event.

In December, the lodge donated $2,100 to Wreaths Across America. It is an event dedicated to remembering the sacrifices that our veterans have made in wars since the American Revolution. The  wreath-laying ceremonies will occur on December 14th.

Don Westerfield’s, Orange Elks Veteran Program chairman, recognized our veterans with videos and songs. The program included the singing of the Armed Forces Medley and ends with the singing of “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood.
At this year’s program, Don recognized and honored two of our lodges Korean War Veterans. Bill Wells, Air Force and  Paul “Robbie” Robinson, USMC.
