Our Veterans are people who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America, for an amount up to and including their life.  â€śAs long as there is a Vet, the Orange Elks will never forget”!
This is the third year of the patriotic tribute to our men and women who are serving and have served in the military. The Orange Elks are a Silver Star Sponsor and are honoring fifty of our veterans from the lodge at the Orange Field of Valor.

There were 1,776 flags being displayed. Down the main isle were flags honoring our country’s Medal of Honor winners.

Each flag had a serviceman or servicewoman’s name, branch of service, their rank, where they served, who sponsored them  and a colored ribbon attached to it. There were six different ribbon colors: Yellow: Returned Home Alive, Blue: Medal of Honor Recipient, Purple: Purple Heart Recipient, White: POW who returned home and Black: killed in action, missing in action or prisoner of war

Here are a few of our veterans.
John Smith, Army and Terri Schatz, Marines with John Sibley in the back ground.
