Visit to Long Beach Veteran’s Hospital
“So long as there are Veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.”
Several times each year, the Orange Elks, family members and friends will car pool to the Long Beach Veteran’s Hospital to play Bingo and spend an evening with the Veterans. Nineteen people from the lodge entertained seventeen veterans. We brought punch, cookies, cheese cake, cup of soups, books, t-shirts and donated $100 in prize money for the bingo games. Each of the bingo players won at least $5. This time the visit was had two WWII veterans.
