Orange County celebrated the 74th anniversary of the USO by attending and supporting a fundraiser for the Bob Hope USO at John Wayne Airport. Most veterans remember the time that they attended a USO show or stopped by a USO while traveling. The USO continues to provide an invaluable service to the US military and the money raised by this event will provide much needed support for those veterans and family members who are traveling through John Wayne Airport. The Bob Hope USO Orange County provides an airport lounge for Active Duty Military, Reservists and their families as they transit through the airport. In recognition of a career spent serving our country, Military Retirees are also welcomed. Our service men and women are making remarkable personal sacrifices for our country around the world. Please show our military you care by supporting this event and honoring their service. The event was held at the Radisson Hotel. Hosting the event was American Legion Auxiliary Newport Harbor Unit 291, the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. A dinner and “Silent Auction” went to support the Bob Hope USO which opened at the John Wayne Airport. The success of this event was made possible because of the thoughtful and generous contributions from people and organizations. By supporting this event, you will help make a difference in the lives of our servicemen and women. The Orange Elks gave a generous donation of $500, which will help fund this invaluable service to our military, active, reserve, guard, and retired service members and their families.
