The Eli Home Shelter

Over the years the Orange Elks Lodge #1475 has supported the Eli Home.  The Eli Homeā€™s main goal is ā€œBreak the Cycle of Child Abuseā€. This year was no different and the lodge donated $1,000 from the Lodge Charities account. Executive Director Lorri Galloway and Tami Bradford, Director of Development, stopped by on June 18th to thank us for the donation. Lorri indicated that it helped purchase a new washer and dryer for the home.

Lorri also shared and thanked the Orange Elks for hosting the Thanksgiving dinner event and how much this event meant to children and mothers, not only receiving a wonderful, full traditional Thanksgiving meal, but with activities and feeling the love and hope that the lodge has put back into their lives.

The Orange Elks and the Eli Home over the years have established a relationship of helping our community in strengthening the future of the children of abuse and relieving their distress by bringing comfort and love into their lives. Lorri indicated that at the Eli Home's annual  Caribbean Mid-Summer Night fundraiser event, on Saturday July 19, 2014 being held at the Anaheim Hilton,  the Orange Elks will receive a special recognition, the 2014 Carino Award, for showing extraordinary care and affection for the children and mothers at the Eli Home.
