There is a Christmas tree on the third floor! The tree has ornaments on it with a child’s age. Please pick one and bring in an unwrapped gift (approx. $15 - $20) by December 16th. The toys will benefit the abused children at the Eli Home!

Christmas, the Eli Home and Elks
Earlier this year the Orange Elks Lodge entertained the women and children from the Eli Home (for abused children) to a turkey dinner, entertainment and each child was given a gift certificate. The committee decided to take it one step farther and put up a Christmas tree with an ornament. The ornament had information so the lodge members could donate a toy for that child. The response was overwhelming. Over a hundred gifts were given to the Eli Home children.

The Elk Angel Christmas Tree
There was a Christmas tree on the third floor with ornaments on it. The ornaments had a child’s age on it. For the second year the Orange Elks placed an unwrapped gift around the tree. Over two hundred gifts and several hundred dollars were collected. The gifts and donations were given to the Eli Home shelter. Their focus is on abused children and their mothers. The moms and their kids each wrote a wish list and then the gifts were matched up. The donations helped to make sure each had a gift of their choice. The month of December illustrated that the Orange Elks Care and the Elks Share!
