All through the year, the Orange Elks put their spare change into a purple piggy bank and once a month turn the change in. The money is collected and turned in once a year at the California-Hawaii Elks Association State Convention. This year, the Orange Lodge turned in $17,979.81. The Piggy Bank March this year collected $3,073,705.05. Â This money is used to provide free Physical Therapy, Speech - Language Therapy, Preschool Vision Screening, Scholarships and Grants and Occupational Therapy to children free of charge up to 18 years old.
