The Orange Elks Third Grade Dictionary Program is a huge undertaking designed to place a personal dictionary in the hands of every third grader in the city of Orange. The dictionary becomes the students very own, to carry with him or her, as they advance through their school years. The dictionaries are donated by Orange Elks Lodges through the generosity of their members.

The members of the Orange Elks Lodge handed out dictionaries to all the third grade students in the Orange Unified School District. The Lodge members went to 31 schools, 83 classrooms, and handing over 2403 dictionaries. A Drug Awareness book mark was included with each dictionary. This is the fifth year for the program and the lodge has given away over 9000 dictionaries.

Orange Elks Third Grade Dictionary Project 2011

The Orange Elks Third Grade Dictionary Program is a huge undertaking designed to place a personal dictionary in the hands of every third grader in the city of Orange. The dictionary becomes the students very own, to carry with him or her, as they advance through their school years. The dictionaries are donated by Orange Elks Lodges through the generosity of their members.

This year  41 lodge members went to 30 schools, 80 classrooms and handed out 2472 dictionaries with a Drug Awareness book mark. The Dictionary Project is completely funded by the lodge. This is the fifth year for the program and the lodge has given away over 11,500 dictionaries.
