The Orange Elks take pride in doing projects to help our Community, our Veterans, and our Youth. The last couple of weeks we were very busy.
Our Drug Awareness Team Members provided a lunch for the GRIP Mentor Program. GRIP stands for Gang Reduction and Intervention Program. The GRIP mentors program pairs a GRIP member with a student. The aim of the program is to increase the students school attendance and decrease their chances of joining a gang.

The lodge made donations to the Villa Park HS Football and Track & Field programs to help update equipment, gear, and uniforms. Elk’s member Joe Medina delivered the donations to the Villa Park coaches.

The Orange Police Department stopped by with Nash, Wyatt and Danto (the Orange P D K-9’s) to present the lodge with a plaque thanking us for funding the new K9 trading cards. The trading cards will be used to hand out at community events and give to school kids.

The Orange Elks Troop 1475 held a Court of Honor for not foe one Eagle Scout but four Eagle Scouts. The pandemic might have slowed and stopped many things; but it didn’t slow down these four young men. The Troop 1475 now has 18 Eagle Scouts since 2006. First Lady Deanna Pelasky presented the award and a flags.
