The Orange Elks “Care and Share”!
December is a very busy month helping the kids in our community!
First the lodge collected over 300  unwrapped gifts for the Eli Home. The Eli Home is a Shelter for families who have encountered family violence or children that been abused.

The Orange lodge works with the Orange Unified School District. Two requests for bikes were made, one from a counselor at Orange HS for a boy that was hit by a car on Collins Ave. The bike was destroyed and he was hospitalized in critical condition. He has recovered and has been cleared to ride a bike again. He is being raised by a single mother. The second request came in from the principal of Nohl Canyon Elementary for two brothers being raised by their single mother and grandmother. $500 helped purchase the bikes from Orange Cycle (two BMX bikes and a mountain bike). All come with lights, locks and helmets. Our lodge members working together made this happen!

Working with the Orange P D throughout the year. The lodge donated $2,000 for 20 kids to go Christmas shopping in the P D’s annual Shop with a Cop. Each child was accompanied by an officer. Working with the Orange P D, Walmart, The Village at Orange, Buffalo Wind Wings and Kays Jewelers the children were treated to a great evening!
