Every May the Orange Elks honors the youth of our community and showcase the many programs we have for our youths. The evening started with over two hundred and thirty members and guests enjoying a Pasta dinner with garlic bread, salad and dessert. Miss Orange Paula Verkuylen helped present the awards. The Youth Appreciation Night Program started with our Boy Scout Troop 1475 leading the Pledge of Allegiance and members from the Orange High Choir signing the National Anthem. The lodge supports a very strong scouting program. Over one hundred boys and girls are members of our scouting troops. Since 2006 our boy scout troop has had ten members earn the Scouts highest award, the Eagle Scout Award.
Hoop Co-Chairmen Brenda and Carol Nailon handed out trophies to the boys and girls winners. A Sportsmanship Award was given to Mason Peek and Andrew Strauss who had the best attitude at the event.
