The Chili Cook Off

The Orange Roamin' Elks is the Orange Elks Camper that started in 1984 by a group of Elks who like to go camping once a month and raise money for the Elks’charieties.

Over the years they have donated over $7,400 to various charities. This year the group entertained over 140 people, had eleven mild and thirteen hot chilies for judging. When the results were in, they raised $1,370 to donate. This year they donated to the Purple Pig which addresses the unmet needs of children with disabilities at no cost to their families, The Elks National Foundation contributes money to be used for charitable programs in the communities where Elks live and work, the Eli Home Eli Home Shelter who’s focus is on abused children and their mothers and Casa Theresa who provide a temporary home for pregnant women 18 and who are alone.

The mild chili winners were Jay Clapper (1st), Marilyn Dinger (2nd) and Sharon Sabo (3rd).
