Michael O’Donoghue, Orange Elks # 1475 member and Scoutmaster for the Orange Elks Boy Scout Troops, presided over the Court of Honor for Dillon Marin. Dillon is the fifth Eagle Scout of troop #1475. He began his journey to be an Eagle Scout 12 years ago and stated “He would do it again because it was well worth the effort”. Dillon was awarded the Arrow of Light, the Order of the Arrow, was the Troop Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader as well as earning thirty two Merit Badges. He designed and built two horseshoe pits at the Mesa Regional Park in Irvine Ca. as his project. He received the U S flag that was flown over Washington DC on March 20th. Dillon attends Villa Park H S and is a member of the football team, track and field team and the Villa Park Drumline. Dillon will be going to college and working on an Engineering degree.
