Following a dream!
Thirty five years ago, Alex had a dream to go drag racing. Over the years he has built and raced in various cars in the different categories of the NHRA. Alex dreamed of building and racing in the Funny Car Category Class. Last week he earned his Funny Car license and this week he entered the 60th Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals. Alex is an independent racer, going up against full time race teams in the Funny Car Category. He and his brother Robert built the car in Alex’s garage and the motors in Roberts garage. After four qualifying sessions, Alex was one of the sixteen quickest cars will be racing on Sunday. Not bad for his first try against the big boys.
Both Alex and Robert are Orange Elks members.
